Adding PostgreSQL support after instalation with RPM ?

Hi , I'm trying to migrate an application from ASP - COM - SQL Server 7 to
PHP - Postgre SQL, the PostgreSQL support is no there as default so I should
recompiled to support it using --with-pgsql=(Directory) but php is being
installed using an RPM, I not able to find a way to install with parameters
or to do a freshen adding this parameters. Does somebody know how to do
that???
