Hi,
I am having problems to install apache, php4, mysql on redhat 6.2.
I managed to get to this stage:
gunzip apache_1.3.x.tar.gz
tar xvf apache_1.3.x.tar
gunzip php-3.0.x.tar.gz
tar xvf php-3.0.x.tar
cd apache_1.3.x
./configure --prefix=/www
With the last (./configure --prefix=/www) I get following message.
setting C pre-processor to gcc -E
+ checking for system header files
+ adding selected modules
+ checking sizeof various data types
+ doing sanity check on compiler and options
** A test compilation with your Makefile configuration
** failed. The below error output from the compilation
** test will give you an idea what is failing. Note that
** Apache requires an ANSI C Compiler, such as gcc.
======== Error Output for sanity check ========
============= End of Error Report =============
I tried to install gcc-2.95.2.tar.gz but I think I am doing something wrong.
Please help me.
Thanks a lot
Walter (a Newbie)
