I posted something about this last year, and i noticed it more pronounced on
one browser than the other.
I can't remember if IE was faster than NS or vise versa, but there was
definately a HUGE delay.
It totally sucked and I just decided to bag it and go with .htaccess files
or better still mod_auth_mysql...
Nobody ever did give me a reason for the lag.
