PHP 4.0.1pl2 - Floating exception(core dumped)

Hello,
I have been trying to get the VHGraph 2.4.1 classes to work. When I run
any of the examples from the command line I get "Floating exception(core
dumped)". When I run them with apache, I get "Document Contained No
Data".
I contacted VH for help and was told all my configurations and the code
is correct, and it should work. They also said they tested the classes
on PHP 4.0.1pl2 under Linux and Solaris and they worked fine.
I am running FreeBSD 3.4 and PHP 4.0.1pl2 and I am wondering if there is
any known issues in regards to it?
