Our setup...
WinNT4 SP6a build 1381
WebSitePro/2.5.4
MsSQL 3.23.21-beta
PHP Version 4.0.1pl2
with Zend Optimizer v0.99
PHP Server API ISAPI
We are withholding PHP4 from production until at least 4.0.2. Although
there are several hundred items in the bug list, we have experienced only
the following problems.
1. We use workaround.. If the first line of the source file is not blank
then you lose information. See e.g. view the source that is returned
from http://www.dkt.com/php4/php4_test_1.php4
vs. http://www.dkt.com/php4/php4_test_2.php4.
2. No harm detected.. The construct <img
src="/php4/testing.php4?=PHPE9568F34-D428-11d2-A769-00AA001ACF42" border=0
align="right"> which appears as a result of the php function "phpinfo();"
does not return the image.
3. Critical problem.. The Windows COM connection fails after the first
execution after a WSP restart. We get the following error message...
Warning: Unable to obtain IDispatch interface for CLSID
{36D611A0-FAE1-11D1-AAEF-0000C0378AC3}: CoInitialize has not been called. in
D:\Web_Sites\Testing_PHP4\HTdocs\test_com.php4 on line 9.
Buy the way, the windows com interface to our COM object works with PHP3 and
ASP.
Although we can repackage it as a exe and run it with EXEC, that is not the
desirable approach.

Subject: Quick PHP Revisted
I saw much discussion on the PHP issue and now I have three customers who
are asking for PHP support for their sites. I have always believed in
keeping the customers happy so I was wondering if anyone is running the
4.0.1pl2 release successfully under WSPro 2.5??
Thanks in advance,
