cookie retrieval from another server

Hi,
I could not find this anywhere.
I store a cookie first.
Then my visitor wanders the site and if he decides to buy something, he is
transferred to the orderpages on another server with a different domainname
(where I have my SSL certificate).
Is it possible for scripts on my second (SSL) server to read whether there
is a cookie set by the scripts on my first server ??
