You don't need to rely on a database; simply pass a variable to the next
page that is to be loaded. For instance:
http://ww.mydomain.com/thepage.php?page=5
Then, in your HTML (generated by PHP), you would have ANCHORS that say:
<A href="http://ww.mydomain.com/thepage.php?page=4">Prev</A>
<A href="http://ww.mydomain.com/thepage.php?page=6">Next</A>
Of course, the PREV and NEXT page values would be computed based upon some
criteria
If you are trying to PREV-NEXT a long list of items, the value past would
reflect the position in the listing that you wish to start at. You can also
pass the number of items toi be listed in a page.

mysql but take a look at the mysql & odbc functions... view, compare and
