From my understanding, as long as you have a "session_start()" function above the <html> tag, you can work with variables in the form $_SESSION['variableName'] rather than having to use session_register(). In fact, using session_register() is no longer needed at all. Use $_SESSION['variableName'] the way you would any other variable. What happens if you set "register_globals=Off" and use $_SESSION?
Thanks for the reply. I will try changing register_globals to Off. I am not quite sure I know what you mean by using $_SESSION though, could someone please explain how that is uesd?
Session manaul pages are updated. There is enough explanation how to use $HTTP_SESSION_VARS/$_SESSION now :) -- Yasuo Ohgaki -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-general-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-general-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
