Here's a generic way to access each file sequentially and perform your
specific actions:
if ($dir = opendir("/path/to/directory")) {
while ($file = readdir($dir)) {
... perform your condition checks here ...
}
closedir($dir);
}
else { ... code for reporting that directory could not be opened ... }
