If in fact you have installed mysql in /usr/lib/mysql (which seems an odd place) then configuring php with --with-mysql=/usr/lib/mysql should work. And as I think you have been advised, looking at a script with phpinfo() in it should tell you what stuff your compile has successfully included. -- David Robley Temporary Kiwi!
