Hi all,
I need to know the exact ip of who is entering a site and I'm worried about proxies and
spoofing. From php.net:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.getenv.php
This was listed:
============================
This gives you the right ip:
if (getenv(HTTP_CLIENT_IP)){
$ip=getenv(HTTP_CLIENT_IP);
}
else {
$ip=getenv(REMOTE_ADDR);
}
============================
Is this really a fool-proof method of knowing exactly what the ip is that's getting onboard?
Thanks!
Sean
