I just downloaded an evaluation copy of WebTEN server for my Mac OS 9/G4
server. It is supposed to support PHP ("the Apache server for Macs"),
but I've only been able to serve up html files from WebTen. When I
access a .php file or even an html file containing php tags from my own
browser, it doesn't read the php correctly.
Using the PHP tutorial at http://www.php.net/tut.php, I
created a file
named "hello.php3" containing the following lines :
<html><head><title>PHP Test</title></head>
<body>
<?php echo "Hello World<P>"; ?>
</body></html>
and my browser displays this
";? > (Mac IE)
(Mac NN--shows nothing)
I thought I had to download PHP but there was no source code available
for Macs and I thought WebTEN was supposed to support PHP already... why
isn't my server working with PHP!!?!
