Documentation takes time. :) It's not that the PHP docs folks are keeping
information from you, they're just very busy. A handy place to see the
latest docs is http://snaps.php.net/manual/
I haven't yet been able to find a function that's in PHP which isn't
listed in that version of the manual.

The approach to Apache directives was reworked to be smarter. It's not
that directives were removed, it's that the method to use them has
changed.
Basically, instead of something like php3_include_path, it'd now be
php_value include_path. A good doc to scan over would be
http://zend.php.net/manual/configuration.php
which lists how it all works
now. Personally, I think it's a great improvement over how it was done in
PHP3.
