Re: can there be a fax gateway?

There are a number of internet services that will accept email and send out faxes -- using one of those should be easy. Otherwise, if you use UNIX, get and install the hylafax open source faxmodem package, and use one of the PHP gateways into that as a starting point for some PHP code to do what you want.
