It's not $PHP_SELF that's the issue here -- well it was probably blank because either
register_globals is off or you were in a function and didn't global it. The real trouble is
that. IE < v6.0 is forgiving and if the action="" is blank sends the request to the
current page. So you feel comfy and think all is well, when in fact you have an empty action on your
form. Incidentally, Microsoft changed this and I.E. 6.0 behaves just like Netscape 4.7.
