Can someone please help me with this -- I have beaten my head against
the desk for the past three days, and can't get this to work....
I am trying to link a sharable object against the non-apache (CGI,
standalone) version of PHP3.0.16 and I keep getting this error when I
run a test program that does a <?php dl("cvphp-cgi.so") ; ?>
root# php -v
3.0.16
root# php /home/lewis/testccvs.php
/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/cvphp-cgi.so:
Undefined symbol "getParameters"
I cannot, for the life of me, export the darn symbol so that it can
be resolved by my module upon load time. Here' what I'm using to
link this beast (among other things I've tried):
# The following is good for GCC on most ELF binutil systems.
INCLUDES=-I/usr/local/ccvs/include \
-I/usr/local/php3 -I/usr/local/php3/dl
LIBS=-L/usr/local/ccvs/lib/ -lccvs -lc
CFLAGS=-fPIC $(INCLUDES) -DCOMPILE_DL
install: cvphp.so
cp cvphp.so /usr/local/lib/cvphp-cgi.so
cvphp.so: cvphp.o
$(CC) $(CFLAGS) -shared -Wl,-soname,cvphp.so -o cvphp.so
cvphp.o $(LIBS)
cvphp.o: cvphp.c
$(CC) $(CFLAGS) -c -o cvphp.o cvphp.c
My platform is FreeBSD 3.5-REL, Apache-1.3.12, PHP-3.0.16
and I am building PHP3 in _non_ apache-module mode, via:
./configure \
--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/lib \
--with-system-regex=yes \
--with-gdbm=/usr/local \
--with-gd=/usr/local \
--with-mysql \
--enable-debug=no \
--enable-track-vars=yes \
--enable-short-tags=no
make; make install; make clean
Can someone who is skilled in getting these darn symbols resolved for
sharable modules please, please, please help me out.... Thank you.
