Uh, can I retract this post?
I had a mistake in my code, and didn't realize it until after I had posted (even though I promise I had checked it thoroughly).
Thanks for understanding....

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me confirm whether or not there is a bug in the rtrim() function. I have a reproduceable error -- my code looks like this: echo $variable . "<br />\n "; $variable = rtrim($variable); echo $variable; The output of this looks like this, if $variable = "sometext": sometext<br /> sometextsometext The whitespace is stripped, as expected from rtrim(), but the value of the variable is repeated. I'm running PHP 4.1.2 as a static Apache module in Apache 1.3.22 (installed from source, not RPM) on RedHat 7.2. Does anyone know anything about this? Sorry if I'm making a mistake somewhere, but if so, please let me know so I can correct my problem. Erik---- Erik Price Web Developer Temp Media Lab, H.H. Brown pricee@hhbrown.com
