Ourima,
XML has nothing to do with PHP inasmuch as PHP is a server-side scripting
language, and XML is a kind of data description and exchange standard (or am I
absolutely wrong?) Please, please, please use your search engine!!! (and your
brain...) Maybe www.w3c.org may helps you to understand what xml is. There is
also a mailing list at www.oreillynet.com .
Have you bought your first computer on saturday and would like to get up and
running everything you ever heard about just within one or two days?
Sorry, but I have to agree with some collegues on the list: RTFM! If you don't
know what it means...ask a friend of yours.

Hi all,
I am sorry, this is not quite related to PHP but in some way.
Can someone tell me which system requirements I need to
be able to write XML scripts?
Thanks,
Ourima.
