Crypt() is there somthing equal to that on WIN servers

I am storing passwds encripted with the crypt() function in a Mysql
database, but it seems that I will be forced to use my code
on a win based platform ( prob. win2000 server) and Im wondering if
there is somthing I can use in sted of crypt for it would not
work on a win Server since the crypt func is a built in unix func.
