the trouble is that sometimes there are subdirectories that contain tilde
chars... eg http://www.foo.com/some/dir/~someguy.. so if you
grabbed
http://www.foo.com/index.html and it contained a link to
http://www.foo.com/some/dir/~someguy/index.html,
then the link would be
broken..... I guess I'll go back to my original approach of trying to rename
the malformed dirname to the correct ~ format.. I'm sure I'll get it to work
eventually ;-)
