Re: mod_rewrite

forget about using .htaccess for mod_rewrite. It often fails through it. Use it directly from httpd.conf Maxim Maletsky Founder, Chief Developer PHPBeginner.com (Where PHP Begins) www.PHPBeginner.com maxim@phpbeginner.com [ rswfire ] writes:

.htaccess (returns 500 misconfiguration error message) { RewriteEngine on

RewriteBase    /
RewriteRule    * index.php
}
http://swifte.net/phpinfo.php
(i did not use braces in the .htaccess file)
