No, that wouldn't work....to have a checkbox autochecked the HTML must be
similar to
<input type="checkbox" name="abb" value="<?php echo
$myrow['abb']; ?>"
checked>
So a sample coding might be
<input type="checkbox" name="abb" value="<?php echo
$myrow['abb']; ?>" <?php
if ($myrow['abb']) { echo 'checked'; } ?>>
