The problem is that most multiple submits occur *before* the browser has received any headers back (because it's still processing output), so the cookies wouldn't be received until after the multiple submits had occurred. If you can push the cookie header to the browser quickly, though, this idea might work. I still think it's better to do it on the back end, though. --Bruce Bruce Christensen Intel Corporation brucex.r.christensen@intel.com -----Original Message----- From: Chris [mailto:php_list@ibcnetwork.net] Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2000 2:16 PM To: php Subject: [PHP] Example needed follow up Does anyone here think it would be a bad idea to use cookies to check if the form has been submitted, this would require cookies to be turned on of course or the form wouldn't submit. >Hi, >Does someone have a quick example on how to prevent multiple submits from a form? >Say, a 30 sec delay until the same person can submit the same form again? >Thanks, >Chris -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-general-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-general-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
