Hi. On my system there's a PHP executable that can "pretokenize" php scripts. It can also execute them. However I have not cucceded with executing pretokenized php scripts from the web server using mod_php. Can this be done? And how? BTW, what are the benefits of pretokenizing the PHP scrips? Just for the records, I'm using PHP 3 Best Regards, Alex.
None. Don't do it. It was originally thought in the far distant past (OK, maybe a year or so ago) that pretokenizing would speed thinks up. It didn't help in any significant fashion; neither did it provide any real code security. That option hasn't been supported for a while, and may not even work correctly anymore. With apologies to Nike: Just _don't_ do it. If you want a PHP script compiler, wait for the Zend compiler: www.zend.com -steve +--- "They've got a cherry pie there, that'll kill ya" ------------------+
