You can use $_REQUEST['foo'] which looks at all Cookie, Post, and Get data.
switch($_REQUEST['foo'])
You may have to still wrap the whole thing around an isset().
if(isset($_REQUEST['foo']))
{
switch($_REQUEST['foo'])
...
