Hi. As part of BinaryCloud (www.biniarycloud.com) I've been working on a
Form_Builder Class. I was hoping for some feedback.
The class builds, and validates intelligent multi-page forms. For example if
you make a mistake on page one Form_Builder carries the form element over to
page two and let's you correct the error there. Also, each element has it's
own error message and if you use a confirmation screen you can go back and
edit fields on different pages.
I was hoping to show it off and get some feedback so I created a quick two
page form with a confirmation page showing off about half of what form
builder can do. In the future all of it's features will be documented.
You need PHP4 and here's the run down of the attached files:
form.php - the page you point your browser at. It creates and sets up the
Form_Builder.
form.phtml - the page the stores all of the html for the form.
form_builder_class.lib - the class definition
stringtypes.lib - the functions form_builder uses to verify the form fields,
i.e. if email field contains an email.
When filling out the form make sure you make mistakes and leave fields blank
because error control is one of the gems of Form_Builder.
Thanks, for your time and feedback.
Charles
