libTRE extenstion proposal.

Hi, I would like to implement PHP extension based on TRE library (http://laurikari.net/tre/about/). I faced lastly with aproximate matching and it was hard to be done using PHP. As far as i know there is no more open source libraries implementing that feature, so I recomend TRE. First of all such extension would bring back standard POSIX-complaint regex (basic and extended) to PHP and, what is more, it would give developer ability to use for example fuzzy string matching in theirs serach engines or trying to guess what was the real request of user in case there was a character error. Is it a good idea and who would be a god mentor for that job? -- Kamil Witecki.
