I would suggest to drop these packages as well. We can help you to
replace them if necessary.
I couldn't make this decision myself, due to my lack of familiarity
with the system, but if you guys think that it's the best way to go,
so let's do it!
The main reason is the current code already implements various DB related packages, so the idea of stripping them all out means a decent amount of work.
Felipe, please evaluate the code and make a proposal which might be "Remove DB, DB_Object and Tree dependencies, and replace with PDO"
