I also have been having slow downs with GTK apps on OSX Tiger. Mainly using the Gimp while opening and saving a image it takes 5-10 seconds and uses near 100% of CPU just for a read or write. So I don't think its a PHP-GTK problem more likely a GTK problem in the file reading and writing after something changed in Darwin would be my guess.

It's hard to say, especially because I am now having problems with running gtk+ apps after upgrading my Mac to Tiger release of Mac OS X. It takes about 30 seconds to startup and the fonts look weird too. -Andrei On May 30, 2005, at 2:45 PM, Davy Hellemans wrote:Is there any insight on when a possible alpha/beta release of php- gtk2 is due? 2 weeks, 1 month, 3-6 months, .. -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Christian Weiske [mailto:cweiske@cweiske.de] Verzonden: maandag 30 mei 2005 21:42 Aan: Ivan Rodriguez CC: php-gtk-dev@lists.php.net Onderwerp: Re: [PHP-GTK-DEV] GtkMenu and popups Hi Ivan,Hello, I trying to do a popup menu, and I view the gtkmenu methods and popup() method don't exists, I read the GNOME documentation, http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/gtk/GtkMenu.html and here this method exits but in PHP-GTK2 no, somebody knows why?¿I assume it's because gpointer isn't supported yet.
