Thanks Madeleine. I have committed these changes to CVS they should appear on the site in about a half hour or so. Andrei, Steph, Christian, etc... Madeleine reworked the Win32 installation entry in the FAQ. If you have a minute please read it over to double check that everything is ok. Thanks, Scott Madeleine D. wrote:
Scott - HTML page attached. I based it on the existing one, so it should be easy to integrate to the FAQ page. Do we need to run this by anybody else, just to make sure the powers that be are happy with it??? Some of the points I added are valid to both UX/Win, but they're the kind of thing a newbie really needs to be aware of, so I did them anyway. thanks Madeleine D. Hi Madeleine, I have no experience with PHP-GTK on windows. If you have an updated answer to that question I would be happy to update that page. Thanks, Scott Madeleine D. wrote:
Scott - Below - from this morning's php-gen list: I think his first question is coming from the FAQ page, where it lists these files belonging in the Windows directory. http://gtk.php.net/faq.php Since those files no longer exist, should the page maybe be updated? Also - this one is probably open for discussion, but I personally disagree with the recommendation that there be any files in the Win directory, including php.ini. I think it works much better to isolate the whole setup in a directory of its own. Maybe this could be an alternative suggestion. Just a thought. Madeleine D.

According to the installation instruction, I copied
php4 to C:\php4, test in c:\php4\test and php.ini in windows. And I did the association for .php with php-win.exe. I can run the test programs in test folder. But there are tow problems: (1)I don't have gtk-1.3.dll, tdg-1.3.dll,,, in my windows folder. Where I can get them? (2)there are lots of gtk warning in a dos windows said unable to locate image in pixmap_path. Please give me a help! Thank you in advance.
