GTK2 configure error w/ OSX

Hoping someone has a simple suggestion on this one, as it looks fine to me.
When I run configure w/ PHP-GTK (latest CVS as of this afternoon) w/
PHP-5.1.0RC2 I get the following errors:
checking for PHP executable in /usr/local/bin... found version 5.1.0RC2-dev
checking for gawk... (cached) awk
./configure: line 3069: syntax error near unexpected token `debug,'
./configure: line 3069: `PHP_GTK_ARG_ENABLE(debug, whether to include
debugging symbols,'
Any ideas anyone?
