Let me give your scripts/howto a whirl and we will go from there.
Steph's email about dependencies is gonna be an issue, but if I have a
list of what those dependencies exactly are it shouldn't be too hard
to work up an autoconf script to handle that (Andrei's big concern).
Andrei gave me a list of requirements for the docs that he sees
necessary to get them up on gtk.php.net. Unfortunately I don't have
those on me at the moment, but I will try and get those sent off by
tomorrow (since I leave Friday morning for Frankfurt). I land in
Frankfurt at noon on Saturday and will be available to meet with
anyone who wants to meet any time between then and Wednesday evening
(I leave for Rome before dawn on Thursday, so won't be up super late
on Wed).
