Hi Andrei, all,
I was looking at implementing GtkCTreeNode, not realizing it had already been implemented as a pointer - I'm still seeing 38 unwritten GtkCTree methods with 'unknown type 'GtkCTreeNode*'' in the build logs here. I think we ought to _try_ and support GtkCTree/GtkCList because there's legacy code out there using both widgets...
There are also 8 'unknown type 'gpointer'' messages, which seems weird to me given that we have support for gpointer now. The affected methods are: Gtk::accel_map_foreach(), Gtk::accel_map_foreach_unfiltered(), Gtk::binding_set_by_class(), Gtk::item_factory_popup_data_from_widget(), GtkTreeSelection::get_user_data(), GtkCList::find_row_from_data(), GtkCList::get_row_data() and GtkCList::set_row_data().
Back to GtkCTreeNode, which suddenly works (okay, compiles) when it's defined as either boxed or as an object in gtk-types.defs. That says to me that the generator probably doesn't know as much as it ought to know about gpointer, but it could be talking bs.
Any ideas? - I'd hate to have to write those 66 methods by hand.
