Andrei your a genius after specifying the location everything started working I now have it compiled and working on Mac and Linux and using Gnope on Windows. Why does php compile in /usr/local/bin/ besides /usr/bin/ on OS X? I'm not a expert at compiling programs but do like a good trouble shooting challenge now and then.
Thanks,

Do this: buildconf --with-phpize=/usr/local/bin/phpize (or wherever your PHP 5.1 phpize script is) configure --with-php-config=/usr/local/bin/php-config (same thing) -Andrei On Jan 14, 2006, at 6:59 AM, Christopher Logan wrote:Well there is a problem with that when I installed php it installed it in /usr/local/bin/ but the php that came with OS X is in /usr/bin/ and I couldn't figure out how to get it to put it in /usr/bin/. As for the dates I'm not sure I used the same cvs command I used to get it on Fedora: cvs -d :pserver:cvsread@cvs.php.net:/repository co php-gtk As for the php version I'll get a update but was just using what I had already.
