I tried not to just rewrite the docs. I tried to give examples of most of the pieces of PHP-GTK from a more practical view point. The docs do a good enough job of telling you what arguments to pass to the GtkTreeView constructor, but they don't tell you why you would want to use a GtkTreeView. That is the problem I tried to solve: What widgets are available and why you would want to use one over the other.
Once the book is closer to being ready I am hoping to convince the publisher to release a chapter (or at least a large section of one) online so that people can have an idea of what the book contains. I don't want people spending their money if the book doesn't fulfill their needs.
