It failed with a message that I can't remember exactly but it had something to do with a non-existent member of a struct. ... When I commented out the zobj.guards = NULL line, it compiled fine. Unfortunately, I ran into a runtime issue with GtkTreeModel::iter_next() but I think that is a separate issue. I will work on a test script for that one and get back to you with some more details.
