Andrei, Thanks for the UTF8 patch, solves all my problems regarding accented characters in GtkTreeView's. The only problem that I saw now, it's about stock-browser.php sample. In the second column (label), the words are coming "over-econded" :-) (don't know if it's the right word). But, It seems that was applied utf8_encode twice... Take a look at: Gtk::stock_lookup($id); I know it's hard to figure out these things because english as no accented characters. But Gtk::STOCK_INFO that in brazilian portuguese is "Informação", in stock-browser.php is shown as "Informação". But it's the only place I've seen this problem. It doesn't happen when I use GtkButton::new_from_stock(). In this case, the name of the buttons (even the accented ones) are fine. Pablo -- :: Pablo Dall'Oglio :: www.dalloglio.net
