The php-gtk1 manual says you can only use new_gc of gdkwindow to get a dc.
> $gc = new GdkGC($window);
> $gc->set_foreground(...);
That seems the cleanest way to me.

You wouldn't get done with parameters if you would add all of them to
the constructor
> $gc = new GdkGC($window, array('background' => $background,
> 'line_width' => $width));
Python, right?
