Subject: Re: [PHP-GTK-DEV] State of PHP-GTK 2
All, I haven't had time to sort out win32 _at all_ in ages, between work and the docs build setup. I need to look into that and also to make as many of the extensions as will build there, do so. Also we still need to have the Battle of the Scintillas - both implementations are available online, as of today, and we need to come to some decision there (one, the other, both?). Finally, I keep coming across functions where C syntax is used (i.e. the return value is passed as a parameter), but this _may_ be because I'm behind the times. I want to run tests and see how solid we are that way before anything else. I'm wondering if it'd be a good idea at this point to date the start of an alpha release cycle from the point when the search mechanism's known to be working and generating on the site. To me that'd mean: 1) freeze new development (no more new extensions, no more new function wrappers) 2) test what we have there (we probably need to decide exactly which areas we're going to consider critical here) 3) fix the bugs we find 4) roll a release candidate 5) repeat as necessary Andrei? what say you? - Steph ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Mattocks" <scott@crisscott.com> To: "PHP-GTK Dev list" <php-gtk-dev@lists.php.net> Sent: Monday, April 10, 2006 9:39 PM Subject: [PHP-GTK-DEV] State of PHP-GTK 2Hello everyone (mostly Andrei though), What is the official state of PHP-GTK 2 at the moment? We have PHP-GTK 2 docs online and although they are pretty slim they are getting filled in. I believe Christian is working on the search tool to finalize the docs section. We have several publicly available packages using PHP-GTK 2 in its current state (PEAR/Gnope). There have also been several talks on the subject. Can we make an official alpha release yet, or is there still more that needs to be done?
