Hi Andrei,
I mailed in a new patch today for that module unloading stuff everyone's getting sick of me talking about.
It doesn't commit the crimes my earlier attempts did, and I think there's some vague chance of this one making it into TSRM/ZE2.
It relies on external modules loading with the same name as everything tied up with it; it currently takes "gtk" as the internal name because it picks it up via the globals declarations. It can deal with uppercase/lowercase module name transformations OK, but hyphens are a bit beyond my compiler. If that patch goes in we should really change module->name "php-gtk" to either have an underscore or be a single word. Less for the sake of thread-safety than for shutdown order protection.
I think we should do that anyway, but you might be attached to that hyphen for all I know...
Thoughts?
