What you could do is echoing the gtypes in gtkwindow.php#26 and then again in WidgetEditor.php#40 and see if they differ. If they differ, we have a problem.

Yeah, I figured how to debug it already...(!) You'll find this one even weirder. I couldn't get WidgetEditor to var_dump at all initially, so I wondered (being half-awake) if it was a path issue. (Note: the stuff I was seeing in the first place actually _did_ come from WidgetEditor - this was very much a half-awake thing). I changed to my normal testing dir and it suddenly started working. So I went back to the demos directory to see if I could work out what I'd been doing wrong. It's working there now too, and I can't reproduce what I was seeing yesterday. Freaky, huh? Don't know whether to blame my system, PHP-GTK, PHP or the phase of the moon for that one. There are a few small snags with the demo when it works. One is that when you go into full-screen mode under doze there's no way to get out of it apart from stopping the process. Another is that it allows you to 'edit' conflicting options, which then causes either the buttons, the editor or the entire demo to hang depending on the badness of the editing. Finally, am I supposed to see anything changing anywhere when I click on the unconnected button? - because if so I'm missing it. - Steph
