Hello,
Any chance this can get put into PHP-GTK SVN any time soon? Looks like a very useful widget.
Thanks to Anant. This is exactly what I was looking for in a small project of mine. Just one question, is there an append option?
Example: Can you have a GtkHTML object, then have a GtkHTML->set_editable(true) in the same window [two different widgets]. When you type in the editable, would you be able to press a button and have it append to the non-editable widget without having to redraw? I'm unfamiliar with GtkHTML3... so an simple explaination would be awesome! :-)
Also, thank you to Marc for the great examples! :-)
Thanks,

To use the extension, cd to your '/ext' directory in the PHP-GTK sources and then: $ svn co svn://svn.cweiske.de/php-gtk-edge/trunk/ext/html Run ./buildconf, ./configure, make, make install and you should be ready to go. (Assuming you already have GtkHTML installed, if you don't get it here: http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gtkhtml/3.0/). There's a sample script: /ext/html/demos/gtkhtml.php GtkHTML3 offers some nice features and is a wonderful widget to use. If Elizabeth or Steph ever get around to compiling GtkHTML3 on Windows, this widget should be a great replacement for GtkMozembed which isn't available on that platform. But the main attraction of GtkHTML3 is the ability to _edit_ HTML, and so when coupled with GtkSourceView, is quite powerful.- here follow in attachment with GtkHTML::export() method ; This method accept a mime type (text/plain or text/html) and return widget content as expected. - for interested users, there is an example of HTML editor at this location ; it implement nearly all neaded and simple features : http://quinton.free.fr/php/gtk/html/ thanks Anant.
