As I said before, I want help Elisabeth in finishing the installer for windows.
I installed the wix, but it simple do not work on my pc, appear that it need some sdk from microft to work.
Errr... you don't "install" wix - just unzip the binaries and compile your xml via the command line - it shouldn't need any sdks at all unless you're trying to install the "votive" software, which is just a fancy gui for wix and not needed... Take a look at the windows php installer which is currently created with wix (the wix binaries are even in php-cvs...)
Since I know how to use the nsis I started one with him, for me nsis better and more easy than wix...
Cweiske's Gnope is already a great nsis installer if that's what you're looking for on windows, we really don't need to reinvent the wheel here - the purpose of a "new" installer is to have an .msi version that can be deployed using microsoft's tools and installed silently via command line, and all the other cool features an .msi has that nsis does not
