I uploaded a new version of the installer, at http://fernando.viaserver.com.br/installer/ It have all files from the binary package, but I removed the folder "debug_pack", this reduce the size of the installer in 3 mb, as the vast base of user will not debug the php-gtk, I think we can provide this a separate download. That's fine
Please try it and report what you think. What is missing (if is important...) 1. Split each translation. So you can install only your lang. We probably shouldn't be shipping or installing locale files (translations) After all, the locales just for glib are bigger than all the glib dlls! The msi should ship with only english (perhaps later we can create different versions of the msi for different locales, using a different language xml file during the build, and installing all the needed locale files so the whole thing is in a native language)
2. Add the PEAR. go-pear.bat and pear.phar should be all you need
3. A nice icon for the installer and the .phpw files When I have time - I also have some new background pixmaps to use
4. Split the extensions and dependencies, so you can install only the extensions you need. This is the big issue, your feature tree is set up funny - it should look like this - typical should install gtk, php, and php-gtk2 without extensions, full should install everything except the stuff in 'additional features' --gtk2.10 runtime --php 5.2.3 runtime ----php 5.2.3 extensions ------mysqli ------pdo ------(and so on) --php-gtk2 ----php-gtk2 extensions ------souceview ------glade ------(and so on) --additional features ----demos ----pear ----register .phpw
Know problems (for me...): 1. I can not make the sourceview works correct, see this post by kksou: http://www.kksou.com/php-gtk2/articles/use-GtkSourceView-to-display-source-code---Part-1.php I used this but can not make it works. Now I found the error, and it is in you package, Elizabeth. try this sample(from the url above) with your package and get an error like this: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PhpGtkConstructException' with message 'could not construct GtkSourceBuffer object' in C:\teste.phpw:8 Stack trace: #0 C:\teste.phpw(8): GtkSourceBuffer::new_with_language(NULL) #1 {main} thrown in C:\teste.phpw on line 8 But using the language-specs from 1.6 as posted by kksou works fine. But we do not need add it to documents and settings(as kksou said), only change the ones that are in the package. So after all this, please test the installer, but it do not contains the fix above(I found this while I am writing this email, so in the next version of the installer I will add it). Fernando Correa da Conceição The issue is not my release, it's that tutorial - you're getting the error because the mimetype for php is incorrect -try it with "application/x-php" - you want to use the newer spec files I included - for example the newer php language spec file has php5 features such as try/catch, ect that the older 1.6 specs do notPS, the language spec files are just xml, you can open them up and the second line shows the mime types to use ;)
