compiling with scintilla

To further continue the conversations I was having with Anant on IRC a long time ago, I have been having difficulties getting PHP-GTK to work with Scintilla UNLESS I also add --with-mozembed. The problem was obvious a missing link Mozembed added, mainly a C++ one: __gxx_personality_v0 undefined symbol Which Anant could not reproduce. The solution for me was to manually edit the Makefile to add -lstdc++ to the end of PHP_GTK2_SHARED_LIBADD. After that, I no longer had to use the --with-mozembed trick (which is good, I don't want it in this package) Random Notes Unrelated: * My last note about a LibSexy problem never got posted to the list (it usually is crap shoot and I end up resending things multiple times before it actually gets posted... if that note ever does show up, Elizabeth has fixed it. * Steph Fox Wrote:
