had another go after finally fixing RC4 :) the code in http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=php-gtk-general&m=101836758808745&w=2 will only (i changed the file to just use __FILE__ - makes it a better generic test. echo "starting something"; it never gets to echo "got something"; does print 'got something' on php cvs HEAD? - with streams... I cant see why it would only work with streams - unless theres something 'special' in the streams code that I couldnt find... regards alan
