I've found a way to avoid that problem. I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy and for
some reason, my personal
account has this variable set : GTK_MODULES=gail:atk-bridge ; other
account do not have this
variable on my computer.
If I unset this variable, now, I can run nicely php cli with gtk. I
have also a problem
about this variable on kino (video editor on linux). There is a bug
report on launchpad :

I think this is more a gnome/gtk problem than an Ubuntu one.
