aaahhhhh the #define for G_GSIZE_FORMAT and friend are missing!
The 'original' config file has this define:

where $glib_size_type is the type returned by sizeof(size_t).
We could run into problems over this one, glib's configure doesn't give the
option for 64-bit support.

I added the following lines to glibconfig.h and glibconfig.h.win32 at line
73 (copy happens too late for gnulib build)
#define G_GSIZE_FORMAT "lu"
#define G_GSSIZE_FORMAT "li"
This fixes the test build problems, I'm just stuck on the lack of
libintl/libiconv linkage now.
