Did you know about this? http://devel.akbkhome.com/svn/index.php/gtk_widgets/mozembed/ For some reason - I never got it to display the browser :) - I'll have a see if I can get your stuff working. Regards Alan
I only discovered it _after_ I had ripped all my hair out... Anyways... I have learned something :) I had a quick look at what you did (dont be surprised if some of the test code looks familiar!), but didnt get it to work (I think that the embeded support was pretty ropey until version 1.4.1). Most of the stuff autogenerated, I only really needed to override the _new function, to load the component and profile paths, which is what I need to have a look at really, I think that I will need to add the component and/or profile path to the constructor. Then add some way to specify the mozilla include and lib dirs (mozilla seems to like wierd non-standard installations - my include dir is /usr/include/mozilla-1.3.1 , and the 'install' dir is /usr/lib/mozilla-1.3.1 with a link from /usr/lib/mozilla) The gtkembedmoz.h file seems to float around between different versions of mozilla. I have finally managed to get the MozEmbed widget ( http://www.mozilla.org/unix/gtk-embedding.html ) working with php-gtk. It took a while, but I was surprised by how much is auto generated. I have managed to get it up and working on my system using a fresh mozilla 1.4.1 build, it segfaults with version 1.3.1. Most of the main functions and callbacks seem to work correctly, and I can make a test browser. I am not a very good c coder and therefore, the code has a lot of hard coded file locations (in config.m4 and mozembed.overrides) I have uploaded the files here http://www.dransfield7565.fsnet.co.uk/GtkMozEmbed.tar.gz To compile, you will need to uncompress the archive to your php-gtk/ext directory, then change the directories in config.m4 and mozembed.overrides to match your system. Then (in your root php-gtk source dir) type ./buildconf, then ./configure --enable-mozembed && make && make install. You should be able to run the test mozembed.php. I would appreaciate any comments/help on making this better, with the intention on having it included in the distribution (if any more will be released). Regards Mike
