sorry - but the opening-different-file-types-and-their-associated-viewer-from-any-programming language newsgroup didnt respond very quickly... do you not think that it would be useful for the archives should anyone who is learning in the future might find it? We are not all uber-geeks, born knowing C. Im sorry to fill your inboxes with questions YOU already know the answer to, but for this language to take off, you are going to need people to develop using the program to prove its effectiveness. These people are not going to be C++'ers - they are going to be people who know php (and possibly some program like VB or Delphi). You all need to try to be less spikey when responding to newbies questions, yes we know a lot of you actually wrote this language. The reason PHP was so successful, was its large community, ease of use and great documentation, which meant the language was very easy to pick up and use, even for complete beginners. If you lot continue to look down your noses at newbies, PHP-GTK will just die as some kind of novelty, not become the alternative to VB, Delphi and Klyx, which I think it can. Just my grumpy morning 2 cents worth. On Mon, 2002-03-18 at 17:13, Sebastian wrote: > Am Montag, 18.
